Diego holds a law degree from Universidad Católica de Chile (2011). He later obtained a Master of Law and Business degree from the Bucerius Law School University of Hamburg in Germany (2014) and is a candidate for a Master in Financial Management from the Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez (2020).

He has worked as a lawyer in leading law firms both in Chile (Cariola, Díez, Pérez Cotapos, Alessandri & Co., KPMG) and professionally abroad (Ofertia, Rocket Internet, Spotcap and Getsurance).

He is an expert in commercial law and new technologies law with emphasis on entrepreneurship, venture capital, software, personal data and industrial property.
